1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Hormone Central LLC, operating as Angela Thyer, MD ("we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of angelathyermd.com (the "Site") and any services offered through it.
By accessing or using this Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use this Site.
2. Nature of This Site
2.1 Educational Purpose Only
This Site is an educational platform. All content published on angelathyermd.com, including articles, newsletter issues, videos, webinar recordings, and any other materials (collectively, "Content"), is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
2.2 Not Medical Advice
Nothing on this Site constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Content is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified, licensed healthcare provider who knows your individual medical history.
Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or watched on this Site.
2.3 No Physician-Patient Relationship
Use of this Site, including subscribing to The Fertility Brief newsletter, watching video content, attending webinars or workshops, or booking an educational consultation session, does not create a physician-patient relationship between you and Angela Thyer, MD, or Hormone Central LLC.
3. Educational Consultation Services
3.1 Nature of Consultations
Educational consultation sessions offered through this Site are educational services, not medical appointments. Angela Thyer, MD does not act as your physician in these sessions. These sessions are designed to help you understand medical information you have already received, identify questions to ask your own care team, and develop a framework for navigating your fertility journey.
In educational consultation sessions, Angela Thyer, MD cannot and will not:
Order laboratory tests or imaging
Prescribe medications or supplements
Provide a medical diagnosis
Create or maintain a medical record for you
Recommend or adjust clinical treatment plans
3.2 Availability
Educational consultation services are available to individuals in all 50 United States. These services are currently optimized for residents of the United States. International availability may vary -- contact [email protected] to discuss.
3.3 Booking and Payment
Consultation sessions are booked through Calendly at the scheduling link on this Site. Payment is processed separately via Stripe at the time of booking. Current rates are listed on the Site and are subject to change. The rate in effect at the time of booking applies to your session.
3.4 Cancellation and Refund Policy
We understand that schedules change. Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:
Cancellation made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session: full refund issued to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
Same-day cancellation (less than 24 hours before the scheduled session): no refund. You may reschedule one time at no charge if you contact us at [email protected] at least 24 hours before the rescheduled session.
No-show (failure to attend without prior notice): no refund and no reschedule credit.
Cancellation initiated by Angela Thyer, MD or Hormone Central LLC for any reason: full refund issued within 5-10 business days.
To cancel or reschedule, contact [email protected] or use the link in your booking confirmation email.
3.5 Written Summaries
Written summaries provided after educational consultation sessions are educational documents summarizing the topics discussed. They are not medical records, clinical notes, or treatment plans, and should not be presented as such to any healthcare provider or third party. Any health or medical information you voluntarily share via email prior to a session is used solely to prepare for that session, is treated as confidential, and will not be shared with third parties.
4. Workshops and Webinars
Live and recorded workshops and webinars offered through this Site are educational group programs. All terms applicable to educational consultation services in Section 3 apply equally to workshops and webinars, including the educational-only nature, the absence of a physician-patient relationship, and the prohibition on medical advice.
Workshop and webinar-specific refund terms will be stated on the registration page for each event. In the absence of event-specific terms, the cancellation policy in Section 3.4 applies.
5. Newsletter
The Fertility Brief newsletter is a free educational publication delivered by email. Subscribing to the newsletter does not create a professional or therapeutic relationship of any kind. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
6. Intellectual Property
All Content on this Site, including text, images, videos, newsletter issues, and workshop materials, is owned by Hormone Central LLC or its licensors and is protected by United States copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Content without prior written permission.
You are welcome to share links to Content on this Site and to quote brief excerpts for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution to Angela Thyer, MD.
7. Getting to Baby (Book)
References to Getting to Baby (BenBella Books, 2024) on this Site are provided as a credential reference. The book is a separate publication subject to its own copyright. Purchase and use of the book is governed by the terms of the retailer from whom it is purchased.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
This Site and its Content are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
We make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any Content for any particular purpose. Medical and scientific information changes rapidly. Content on this Site may not reflect the most current research or clinical guidelines.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hormone Central LLC, Angela Thyer, MD, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of this Site or its Content, including but not limited to damages for personal injury, loss of data, or financial loss, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of this Site shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hormone Central LLC, Angela Thyer, MD, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law. This indemnification obligation does not apply to claims arising from our own negligence or willful misconduct.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to newsletter subscribers.
